We are all exhausted by the effects of three eclipses behind us since June 1, 2011 when yet another solar eclipse is revived by the Leo New Moon of July 30, 2011. The 2008 Leo solar eclipse occurred August 1, 2008. It seems never so true that this three year repeat of a New Moon presents a vividly critical set of circumstances as with the debt crisis of 2008 when the US economy nearly collapsed.

The Tea Party emerged out of protest of the Bush/Obama bank bailout. Now the party seen as extremist has infiltrated the Republican Party and held its ground to reduce the size of big government and refuses to raise the debt limit. The debt ceiling limit has in the past been a rather mundane process that now raises the platform for a political agenda. Governing the government seems to be another subject during a time when the entire world holds its breath for the US to get its act together.

The New Moon chart is a picture of the severe block in the US congress. The New Moon degree at 7° Leo is at the apex of the poison dart that could damage the state of not just the US but the world economy. The construct of the poison dart is fueled by retrograde Pluto and retrograde Uranus which are square. This may reveal a rebellious resistance that insists on throwing the baby out with the bath water. We all seem to be experiencing this as a gripping and intense time when emotional attachments are challenged at the deepest level and in many cases at the hand of someone, an agency or the “rules” that force you into a compromising position. Those in a seat of power are not using this energy for the good of all as they bring the world to the brink of financial disaster. The square between Pluto and Uranus is not exact until June 2012. But as we have learned over the years of study it takes years applying and often years of exactness. The results of this aspect can be traumatic while exposing the most vulnerable areas. A fear of losing it all is distressing. If ever you found to benefit from therapy, deep tissue work or yoga this is your time to reinvest in anything that supports relaxation and stress reduction. Efforts to push forward depend upon the generosity of the powers that be. Seek the methods that reveal an enlightened view or the deeper levels of yourself and your life.

The qualities of this New Moon are influenced by a solar eclipse that occurred three years ago in August 2008. That preceded the exposure of the banking crisis under the Bush Administration.
This New Moon is blocked by a nearly retrograde Mercury at zero Virgo in opposition to retrograde Neptune at zero Pisces. The blind spots are larger then the clearings. Smoke screens are raised in order to confuse others with illusions. Mars has been out-of-bounds since July 21, 2011 and does not return until August 22, 2011. This may further affect workers shown as a lack of muscle behind important projects putting serious progress out of reach. The important ground needed to be covered could be on hold until Mars returns to the corral. This does not happen until after Vesta, the investor, also returns from the out-of-bounds territory. Vesta goes rogue on August 8 and does not return until October 31st.

Perhaps the Debt Ceiling crisis is not about anything other than the opposition party trying to force the hand of the President and push him to failure. However the world waits for the end of what appears to be a new party rising with a sophomoric attempt to make a point at the wrong time. It reminds me of a sinking ship and the loudest voices are calling for a new set of rules for sailing. As they miss the point we all go down with the ship. Then we are as pawns in the large scheme of things attempting to hold on to what precious little we have left. While the slow wheels of government scramble to fix the problem, businesses have stalled and business as usual has not been usual for some time.

By the due date to increase the Debt Ceiling Limit there seems to be a reversal as the Mercury retrograde station calls the shots or perhaps calls nothing. This is reminiscent of the 2000 US Presidential election on November 7 that took a Supreme Court decision to decide who would be President on December 12, 2000. Mercury retrograde made a direct station on that Election Day when the Sun was in an exact square (90°) to the rebellious Uranus. I had announced November 4, 2000, on the radio (WZBC 90.3 FM Newton, MA) before that election there would be no decision for some time as to who would emerge as President.

The chart for raising of the Debt Ceiling Limit -due date August 2, 2011 at midnight brings back the point of the Sun square Uranus I referenced for the November 2000 election when Mercury was also stationary has a correlation to the chart of August 2, 2011 seeing the Sun is exactly square to Jupiter in Taurus while Mercury is stationary - not yet retrograde and stalls at 1° Virgo. That point is the exact point of a Saturn direct station in 2008 is the solar eclipse for 2000 prior to that election was the same as the solar eclipse we just had at 9° Cancer. Another 1° Virgo link recalls a Venus retrograde station in 2007 at 2°Virgo. This describes the brick wall made up of differences in principals with no tools to get the job done as Mercury shows the breadth of its power when its presence reveals only muddled facts which hold up progress.

There are some positive clues by Friday August 5, 2011 when Saturn is trine Vesta, the investor and indicator of debt. Saturn honors responsibility while exalted in the sign of Libra. Saturn has nearly returned to its natal position in the July 4, 1776 5:10 PM chart for Philadelphia, PA. While the US can be viewed as the poster child of a Saturn return year we see this one struggle as it forms a square to the 13° Cancer Sun for the US. The Saturn return for the US is exact on August 28, 2011. The last Saturn return for the US occurred on October 22, 1981. Interestingly the solar eclipse just prior to that was on July 30, 1981 at 7° Leo.
As a correlation of the national debt in the year before the US Saturn return is an excerpt from Wikipedia,

“The growth of the gross public debt closely matched the rate of inflation, tripling in size from $260 billion in 1950 to around $909 billion in 1980. Gross debt in nominal dollars quadrupled during the Reagan and Bush presidencies from 1980 to 1992. The net public debt quintupled in nominal terms. Gross debt relative to GDP declined after WWII, then rose during the 1980s as part of the Cold War.
In nominal dollars the net public debt rose and then fell between 1992 and 2000 from $3 trillion in 1992 to $3.4 trillion in 2000. During the 1990s, debt held by the public rose to 50% and then was reduced to 39% by the end of the decade.”

Perhaps the Uranus square Pluto (exact in 2012) foretells the end of the United States’ reign as the most powerful nation in the world.

Full Moon 22 Capricorn Friday July 15, 2011 2:39 AM

This is not just an ordinary Full Moon on Friday morning at 2:39 AM because this story has its beginnings with a Capricorn Solar Eclipse eighteen months ago on January 15, 2010 at 25° Capricorn. There was one unforgettable event surrounding that eclipse; the huge 7.0 earthquake that devastated Port-au-Prince, Haiti three days earlier.
We can remember the entertainment community was widely involved in fundraising for the devastation left by the earthquake. Seeing that the Sun and the Moon were in exact conjunction to Venus and exact semi-sextile to Neptune would contribute to the symbolism of film and TV stars. Another force which triggered the events surrounding January 2010 solar eclipse came from Mars at the prominent degree of 15° Leo. This degree is tied to what is called the world axis by a 45°/135° link to the zero Aries point.

Currently the related Full Moon for July 15, 2011 also shows a strong Mars featured at the lunar south node. This node is hyper sensitive because a total lunar eclipse straddled the nodal axis on June 15, 2011 whereas now Mars is reviving the intensity of that eclipse as it closes in on the eclipse territory. Mars will continue to trigger the 2011 June/July eclipses right through August 17, 2011 when it reaches the solar eclipse point of 9°Cancer.
What this could mean in our daily routine is that we are pressured to complete a multitude of major tasks. Plan important meetings and finish up pending documents. With Mars aggravating the scattered Gemini energy we will be hard pressed to stick to the subject at hand. Matters that have been pending for some time (18 months or less) demand attention especially in regard to business, mortgages and big government. Family members that recuperating from long illnesses are transitioning to the next stage. If you are an elder and head of family you may be relinquishing responsibility by turning over the reins of your day to day business or family duties onto younger members. If you have the job of managing your parents you could be faces with the decision of the best care for them. Property is bought and sold as well as new construction or renovations that are wrapped up. You could secure a loan (Capricorn Moon parallel Pluto before leaving the sign) or gladly pay off a major debt.

The news reports of several horrible stories involving children. Ceres can be found at a prominent point during these high profile stories about. Now Ceres is at its most impressive point at zero Aries where it remains for the next few weeks and is significant at this Full Moon. Ceres rules caregivers, doctors and parenting issues. Food issues dominate the news at large or at home.
